The French Two Star Michelin chef Michel Rostang designed the excellent concept for the Le Mérou Restaurant which satisfies even the most demanding of culinary expectations. The restaurant is famous for its exquisite fish dishes and delicate aromas prepared with delicious herbs – concoctions that are reinvented on a continuous basis.
Our chef Grischa Jankowiak and his team will spoil you with “seafood and more” as well as special exclusive delicacies taken from the culinary calendar. Apart from oysters, lobster and saddle of lamb, many more exquisite creations that vary according to the season adorn the menu. These highlights will satisfy even the most discerning palate. Special weeks with their surprising delicacies provide additional variation and vary from season to season. November sees the veni, vidi, vici of venison: deer and wild boar dishes dominate the menu.
Not only hotel guests but also businessmen from nearby companies, banks, insurance companies and broadcasting houses enjoy an after-work-drink or aperitif in the Sir Peter Ustinov's Bar. Already its famous eponym thought it Germany's most comfortable bar. The fine furnishings, the oval counter and tucked away corners lend it a unique atmosphere valued by visitors and locals alike.
Apart from traditional drinks you will also find hotel specialities such as the Sir Peter Ustinov's Cocktail on the list of beverages. Our guests have an unspoilt view on the unique Gothic façade of the city's landmark – regardless of the time of day or night. During the summer months the Lido terrace adjacent to the cathedral square is also a favourite to have a coffee, an ice cream, a piece of cake or a glass of wine.
